1)
We mount the city skyline panorama that you picked on high quality
foam core. Then we focus on which street lights, bridges and city
landmarks will be enhanced with the fiber optic points of light.
Special requests for light placement are welcome.
2)
Now comes the hard part. Over 150 fiber optic strands are measured,
cut by hand and manually melted over a "flame". Each is
then carefully hand-woven into the picture.
3)
We use an illuminator that is exclusively made for our art displays.
It is a plug in unit that generates the light which travels through
the fiber optics. This creates a beautiful illuminated skyline with
lights that  .
One bulb lights up the display, a spare bulb is included.
4)
Everything is assembled by hand in your choice of a black metal
frame or a black wood frame. Frames
have a gloss enamel finish with tempered glass. Outside dimensions
are 37" x 13" x 4''. Metal display weighs14 lbs. Wood
display weighs17 lbs. Stained wood frames are also offered.
5)
The display runs on standard 120 V AC. It will work in any normal
home or office outlet. A wall mounting kit is available. Let us
know if you need to purchase one.
6)
We offer larger sizes and free estimates
for custom sizes. If you have a special print that you want illuminated
with fiber optics or a custom frame color request, contact
us.
